| | I have many assignments to do, bits and pieces to thread
together, but I always say “I’ll do it later”. However, I have been putting
back trying to communicate with God and busy-ing myself with mundane
procrastinating.
I’ve always told myself and others when asked about my many
jobs and uni and life that “It’s something I do. It’s something I can balance.”
True, but I had my priorities in different orders. It’s so easy to just shrug
off what you need to do, and “do it later”. That “later”, of course never
comes.
So obviously, my quitting of Esprit just doesn’t come like
that. I suppose it was only time before I gathered my head and came to realization
with the immediacy of today. I had been waiting for God’s sign though, because
it was “easy money” so I was still contemplating whether I should stay or go.
However, the sign came in the form of a phone call and I feel like this weight
has just been lifted off my shoulder. I had been hating work since the new
manager had arrived, because I don’t understand why telling the truth is not
appreciated, or why manipulating and backstabbing makes you a better person. It’ll
all go back to bite her ass anyway.
So with this sudden free time, it felt good to return to
church on Sundays, to emerge myself into what I had been neglecting and to
focus on what was necessary. Study was something that lacked my interest, but
this semester has been crazy, so I actually have time to concentrate with my
short attention span. God’s plan (y)
